What it does
EBOG(Economy Book Of Government) is a blockchain-based government transparency platform that provides citizens with real-time access to government budget allocations, expenditures, and project updates. The application combines modern web technologies with blockchain principles to ensure immutable record-keeping and complete transparency in government operations.
How we built it
Authentication Flow: Citizens access via government ID verification, Auth handles OpenID Connect authentication, Sessions stored securely in PostgreSQL, Role-based access granted upon successful authentication,
Transaction Recording: Authenticated officials submit new transactions, Data validated and cryptographically timestamped, Records stored immutably in PostgreSQL, Real-time notifications sent to subscribers,
Public Access: Unauthenticated users can view all public records, Search and filtering available with login, Export capabilities for transparency reports, Real-time updates reflected immediately,
Challenges we ran into
Complexity- Implementing blockchain technology can be technically challenging for teams.
Cost- Initial development and infrastructure costs maybe significant for government.
User Adoption- citizen may face difficulties in understanding and navigating the platform.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
1.Real-time Dashboard: Live budget tracking and transaction monitoring.
2.Immutable Records: All transactions are permanently recorded and cannot be altered.
3.Public Access: Citizens can view all records without authentication wants sign in.
4.Search & Filtering: Advanced filtering by category, date, and keywords.
5.Notification System: Real-time alerts for new transactions and updates.
