Inspiration
We are also high students, we have been through online education as well and we know what type of problems it has. We wanted to improve the quality of its as much as possible.
What it does
Our project solves current digital education problems. We will create an app, that allows teachers and students to join lessons without losing time and having fun during this. This app will support the people that have a disability (not being able to speak and hear) with the AI technologies (sign language translator AI and speech to text AI). This is also the first digital education app that has support for disabilities.
How we built it
Front End: This includes our app design in Figma, which has been made by using knowledge on proper design and ratios. Specifically, we wanted to create an app design that looked simple but had all the complex features that would seem professional. This is something we are proud of, as we feel this component was successful. AI: We have used Python and JavaScript for both AI based sign-language-translator and emotion detector.
Challenges we ran into
Front-End: There were many challenges we ran into, especially regarding some technical aspects of Figma. Although the most challenging aspect in this would’ve been the implementation of the design. When we tried to train on our AI, one of our computers has got much more heat than normal. We kept it next to a window for 12 hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re completely proud of the accuracy that our program has in detecting sign language from the disabled students and believe it's the key reason why this project will be so effective. Beyond that, we have been more professional on AI and Data Science, as well as Front-End.
What we learned
Our team pretty much learnt everything we had to use for this project. The only tools that our team were familiar with were basic HTML/CSS and Python, which not all the members knew how to use. Throughout development, we learnt a lot about frontend, backend, and database development, and Taskade and Figma are definitely a tool we’re happy to have learnt.
What's next for Eazy Study
We want to make our app one of the most used online education apps in the industry. We have got more ideas about it, but for now, all these traits of Eazy Study are sufficient for the Education System.
