Inspiration
Cafeteria food and frustration with instant noodles led to the conception of our idea.
What it does
The website takes user input of the ingredients they have and outputs recipes the user can make with the given ingredients
How we built it
We build the site using Javascript, HTML, the Spoonacular API, and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges with API documentation, but we were able to get the API working
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of creating this website and being able to provide students with a resource that improves their ability to cook in a pinch.
What we learned
We learned how to use APIs and documentation, as well as improving out web development skills.
What's next for Hackerecipe
We hope to integrate a feature that takes into account the amount of an ingredient the user has, as well as giving users the ability to upload their own recipes.
