Inspiration
Various fitness/diet tracking apps inspired me after hearing that some were now making some of their most valuable features no longer free.
What it does
The user can search for a food product in the search bar and a list of relevant results will appear with the nutrition facts for each.
How we built it
I used HTML, JS, and CSS, and an API from www.edamam.com.
Challenges we ran into
I was not really experienced in the languages that went into making EatEasy, so getting the hang of it, in the beginning, was kind of a struggle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It functions well and while the UI is pretty simple I think it fits the site well.
What we learned
I gained a lot of familiarity with web development and the languages used with it.
What's next for EatEasy
As well as the website I created a Chrome Extension so the that use of the website can be done while on another webpage. The next step, which I plan on doing, would be to get it put on the Chrome Webstore so that people can actually use it.
