Inspiration
So, I always thought Dracula was a metaphor for capitalism until I did some research and found that Dracula was inspired by a real dude who killed a shit ton of people. I like my interpretation better.
What it does
Not sure I understand this question, but I believe good art reflects culture and if America is really in late-stage capitalism, well, then may the historians recognize my contribution of the times.
How we built it
Spent about a month on the script. Generated my characters, trained LoRAs, then threw them all away because Omni, v7 and References came out, which made consistency easier and looked way better with the animation style I created. What else? Hedra, Kling, Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs Artlist, Davinci were all used.
Challenges we ran into
At the time of development (Spring 2025), Midjourney, Hedra and Runway all had updates, which forced me to redo the majority of the project in order to have my work reflect the latest in Gen AI. Sucked, but worth it. Then, there were minor things like getting the finger to press the button. Turns out AI likes "push" instead of press." And the fang reveal was tough because he's delivering his final line at the same time and VEO/SORA didn't exist like that to make this a smooth shot.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I told a powerful story that got people thinking.
What we learned
Not everything I create is for everyone.
What's next for EAT THE RICH
Thought about continuing the story or creating social media posts where Dracula shares his thoughts about where he sees America going based on his lived experience. But I'm also not one to milk the cow; the story has been told and I might just move on to the next.
