Inspiration

Nowadays streamers are very limited and complicated to use. Most streamer in the market is limited to streaming only on the same network it's connected to. That means that they lose their purpose - they may pass the stream to a phone or tablet - but what's the point of that if you can't get far from your Wi-Fi network range. In addition, every time you want to pass the stream to your moblie device - it requires you to search your streamer's menu upside down to find how to.

We wanted to create something simple, not limited and natural to use. And that's exactly what EasyTv does.

How it works

It's a Friday night. You're sitiing on your couch, watching your favorite TV series. Suddenly you realize - your're late for a meeting with a friend you havn't seen for a long time. Bummer, you really want to finish the episode. But hey! Why wouldn't you finish it on the train on the way to your meeting? Just get up, get out of the house and no worries - EasyTv will be waiting for you - with your episode - ready to stream on the go.

EasyTv tracks your movement - knows when you got up from your sofa and passes the stream directly to your moblie device - with no dependency for the streamer itself.

Challenges I ran into

Understanding the flow of the app was pretty tricky, and we have encountered several dead ends. Getting to the most unique, natural way to use it and create magical moments.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Streaming the content - and making it automatic. It was a pretty great feeling when it worked for the first time. And of course - dealing with the challenges we mentioned earlier.

What I learned

We learned how to work with a finished product. Also - we learned what is team work and how to work when a lot of people writing the same code. We learned how to perform under pressure - even when things not going the way we want it sometimes.

What's next for EasyTv

We want EasyTv itself - and the idea behind it - to be the next standart for streaming. No more limited networks. no more streaming complications!
