Inspiration

We travel daily in regard to work and other things, for this, we either go by our own conveyance or choose riding services. But in this world full of traffic availing of a riding service is a feasible choice. Our inspiration was to make this experience as smooth as possible by solving the most obvious challenges like finding where the station is and how to onboard on the right bus and reach the destination without any hurdles.

What it does

The app we created helps its users to easily identify their pickup stations as well as their waiting bus.

Problem 1: Find pickup station easily

For this problem, our app provides two solutions

  1. Pickup service from rider location to pickup station. This feature enables users to forget about where the station is and what route the rider needs to choose to get there. Now the next thing is how the rider can pay for this he can either choose a plan like monthly, quarterly, or per ride.

  2. Route plan along with AR details and images of major points. This is for those riders whose station is quite near and they don't want to avail pickup service so, they come to stations on their own. for this, our app gives a rich feature route map to guide the rider to get to the nearest station. It includes AR detail for easy lane and road discovery, images for the major points including of station itself, and also tells which side of the road the station is.

Problem 2: Find waiting bus easily

This problem was solved by printing a large QR code on both sides of the bus which then can be scanned from a scanner given in the app. When the QR code is scanned the app will tell if it is the right bus or not for the rider, automatically onboard the user in the system so the driver gets to know who has onboarded, and some basic route details to clear any ambiguity for the rider.

How we built it

Our team of four members brainstormed a lot on these problems and came up with the solutions given above. We decided to implement the proposed solution via a hybrid mobile app that runs on both android and IOS devices.

Challenges we ran into

Well, it's hard to mention all the challenges we faced but here are the highlights.

  1. Deciding how to implement the UI/UX of the picking service in the app.
  2. Deciding the technology on the app will be built. taking in mind that how technology is evolving these days.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are happy that we have successfully designed the solution which actually solves this real-world problem.

What we learned

We learned to solve problems as a team

What's next for EasyToGo

We want our idea to be implemented on major riding services.
