💡Inspiration💡
We focused on developing a feasible solution for both mental health problems and education throughout the brainstorming process. This application was inspired by students worldwide who, during the pandemic, were unable to access optimal conditions in their online classes due to perilous situations or had too many assignments to prioritize, leaving them agitated. We want to streamline the process and provide them with the tools they need to develop more successfully.
❓What it does❓
The application is built on two key components:
- Teacher panel: for instructors to add assignments, messages, and other vital information for students to view
- WhatsApp chatbot: for students to access assignments, mark as finished, contact teachers, and discover whatever they need for their classes
🏗️How we built it🏗️
For the front end, we used HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Bootstrap We utilized Flask for the backend and the chatbot, SQLITE for CRUD, and Twilio to build the bot.
🚧Challenges we ran into🚧
- Working with Twilio, which we were unfamiliar with
- managing our scope such that we delivered a genuine product, even if it was a bit bare bones
- CSS and website design
- Utilizing the backend, we got it all to work in the end.
- Brainstorming: It took a long time for us to develop mental health and education concepts that had a real societal influence.
✅Accomplishments that we're proud of✅
We are delighted to put together a solution to aid students in reducing their burden and learning well. We think that our application will help enhance education throughout the world by providing better educational opportunities to underprivileged populations. We are pleased that we managed our time and features to complete our task swiftly and on time.
🙋♂️What we learned🙋♂️
This weekend taught us a lot. We discovered —
- Use Flask to create fast, scalable, and simple web apps.
- Using Twilio, you can effortlessly develop incredible products.
How utilizing Flask allows us to construct backends more quickly.
Finally, we learned a lot from one another and Kurinji hacks during the weekend.
💭What's next for EasyTasks💭
We aim to develop this platform and collaborate with users to make it a genuine free product that benefits everyone and introduces new features and other enhancements.
