Inspiration
Many people make use of standard storage spaces for storing things they don't always need, or to simply clear the clutter around their home. Storage spaces tend to attract a lot of popularity for college students, especially those who are commuting as they lighten the requirement of transporting large items on a yearly or periodic basis.
In the same way that AirBNB redefined what a vacation could mean by making any home someone's next resting place, we believe that EasyStore can do the same thing by allowing letting those with free space share it with others, reducing the total amount of professional storage space required and furthermore helping the environment.
What it does
EasyStore enabled users to rent the free space around them out for the user of others. Users can list their property within the application and specify a daily rate, then other users can request to use this space to store their items temporarily or indefinitely.
How we built it
EasyStore is build for iOS in Swift using UIKit and our backend/API is driven using Google Cloud's SQL and Cloud Storage, Typescript, TypeORM, and Express.js.
