EasySNAP

The US FDA has not made it easy to apply for food stamps. Users need a more friendly interface for applying for benefits and finding retailers that accept them. We will build that interface.

Inspiration

The economic impact of covid-19 is swelling the ranks of the hungry. Food pantries are significantly under-resourced, and millions of people are looking to the government to provide assistance affording food in typical venues. Food stamps are harder to apply for than they should be.

This web app will provide Washington DC residents the ability to seamlessly apply for food stamps.
