Inspiration
Always wanted to build a complete webpage from scratch which inspired me to work on that.
What it does
It is an ecommerce website similar to Amazon
How I built it
I used ReactJs with grunt for the front end where backend is a spring server with gradle which does its crud operation using MYSQL and also works with mongodb with minimal changes.
Challenges I ran into
Everything was new when I started the project. I had to learn on my own using internet and complete the project which I did successfully.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- I am proud that with such a challenge ahead, completed the project in 1 month time(around 2hrs per day).
- Code is so modular and generic that changing from MYSQL to MongoDB is a 2hrs job. ## What I learned Learn about the complete flow of a web server ## What's next for Easyshop- An Ecommerce website on React and Spring The limitation of Easyshop is that, it can have only items without categories which can be built next.
