Project Title: EasyRead AI – Empowering Inclusive Learning for Students with Dyslexia Problem Statement: Students with learning differences (such as Dyslexia) and visual impairments face severe difficulties in processing complex, dense educational texts. Standard textbooks often lead to reading fatigue, poor comprehension, and learning gaps. Solution Overview: EasyRead AI is an accessible web application powered by AI that simplifies complex reading materials, converts dense text into readable bulleted points, and generates clear, slow-paced audio read-alouds tailored to improve comprehension and focus. Key Features: AI Text Simplification: Rewrites intricate academic passages into easy-to-digest language. Dyslexia-Friendly Audio: Adjustable Text-to-Speech (TTS) read-aloud feature with slow speed options. Visual Breakdown: Extracts key takeaways and structures text with clean spacing to prevent reading strain. Technologies Used: Python, Gradio, gTTS (Google Text-to-Speech), Google Colab, Hugging Face. Target Users: Students with Dyslexia, ADHD, or visual impairments, as well as educators in special education.
