We decided to build EasyGov, the easiest way to access government sites and services. The goal is to build a tool that democratizes the power of MCPs and can benefit regular people.
For example, the J1 is the most common visa for international students and interns. Most founders — such as Max (Gumloop), Daksh (Greptile), or Guillermo (Vercel) — will end up spending thousands outsourcing to agencies, or do it themselves and kill many, many hours.
That makes no sense.
A clever implementation of MCPs could simplify the J1 process into a super frictionless experience for applicants and, with a little more work, we believe we can make it manageable without an agency.
First off, the J1 process involves mainly 3 activities:
- Information gathering (from existing docs, images, etc) — achievable with MCPs
- Website form filling (stop and go due to missing info) — achievable with MCPs
- Managing process (setting reminders, email follow ups) — achievable with MCPs
Today, these are your typical options to apply for a J1:
- Follow a 26 page doc on the process (as David and Hugo on our team did)
- Email back and forth with slow agencies (as both of Gumloop’s interns did)
- Fill out 3 nasty forms on clunky websites (as anyone on a J1 has had to do)
This is what it looks like with EasyGov’s service:
An easy to use interface!
- Chat / form UIs – guide users / streamline requests with LLMs
- Task manager – email / calendar automations with LLMs + MCPs
Frictionless automation!
- Gather context – grab documents from drives with MCPs
- Form fills – copy/paste directly into gov’t web portals with MCPs
We see a huge opportunity to save people time and money by simplifying government sites and services just like we did with the J1 visa. Federal agencies and local governments won’t update their frontends anytime soon — so we will, with the help of MCPs — to save you time and money.
Welcome to the EasyGov experience!
