Inspiration
We experienced this problem firsthand: going to the doctor only to be sent for additional tests instead of arriving with the necessary checkups done. There’s also the fear of extra costs and uncertainty about how much you’ll pay. An automated process could predict costs based on a pre-appointment virtual call, providing transparency and time-saving. Additionally, speaking with a medical assistant on the phone in another language can be overwhelming when abroad in non-English speaking countries. Offering support in multiple languages would make the process much easier and more accessible.
What it does
Our software streamlines doctor appointments by automating the pre-appointment process. Patients provide medical information through a phone call or online form, with multilingual support. The system analyzes this data and identifies necessary tests, which are reviewed by the doctor before the appointment. Patients complete these tests in advance, allowing doctors to focus on diagnosis and treatment during the visit, saving time and improving efficiency for both parties
What we learned
We learned about the existence and use of new technologies like Retell, aiXplain, Amazon Web Services, Senso, SambaNova . We also connected with a great community and are happy to have participated in this challenge.
Tehnologies
We use Retell AI for conducting our automated phone calls and generating reports. AWS is used as our backend service, with a Lambda function orchestrating the services. We leverage SambaNova for faster inference with the voice bot, and aiXplain to determine the next steps for the patient in our process. We use Senso for the interface.
What's next for EasyCare
We plan to complete the prototype in the near future and validate the idea within the industry.
