Inspiration

Our teachers were struggling taking attendance in a virtual environment. Students could skip class, and it would be hard for teachers to find out.

What it does

With this tool, teachers can take attendance more efficiently, making it much harder to skip class without facing consequences.

How we built it

We built it using python and using an online collaborative text editor called repl.it. Github is the main method we used to share our code with others.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge we ran into was that many of our functions were buggy and not functioning properly at the beginning. We spent a lot of time fixing them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of overcoming many challenges with our program in general, and we are also proud of making a working product in the end.

What we learned

We learned a lot about functions, and file editing in python.

What's next for Easy Attendance

We can turn this into a google meet extension, eliminating any input required for the program to run and therefore maximizing efficiency.
