EasyAccess – Making Technology Simple for Everyone
💡 Inspiration
Everyday digital tasks like booking a cab or shopping online can be challenging for senior citizens and people with limited digital skills. This inspired me to build EasyAccess, an app that makes technology easier to understand and helps people use it independently and confidently.
🛠️ How I Built It
I developed EasyAccess as an Android application using Flutter and Dart, focusing on a clean, senior-friendly interface with readable text and simple navigation. I also worked on a floating guidance window designed to provide step-by-step instructions while users navigate other apps.
🚧 Challenges Faced
Implementing the floating window was one of my biggest challenges. Android permissions, Gradle compatibility issues, and package configuration required considerable debugging. These experiences taught me the importance of testing, problem-solving, and understanding platform-specific requirements.
📚 What I Learned
This project strengthened my Flutter development and debugging skills and taught me to design around real user needs rather than just features.
🚀 Future Prospects
My next goal is to make the floating guidance window fully functional, allowing users to follow instructions without switching between applications. I also plan to introduce multilingual support, voice-guided assistance, and more everyday task tutorials, making EasyAccess more accessible and useful to a wider audience.
My vision is simple: technology should empower everyone, regardless of age or digital experience.
