Ease into AI

Inspiration

I wrote Ease into AI letters for 3 years. What has triggered this, is all the noise online, that is confusing, it’s one sided. Want to teach humans, to think, to read, to use their objectivity, to question EVERYTHING when it comes to this time. To play in all the LLM playgrounds, to make mistakes, to think of the planetary cost when it comes to using this tech. As Thoreau said all those years ago, rather than fame, give me truth. My teachings allow you to mindfully find what feels right to you. This time is HUGE, as huge as when humans first learned to write and read.

What it does

It helps parents understand what the future looks like for their kids, a huge worry. It helps teens use this tech more mindfully, as they learn that AI makes up things like citations. We learn by doing in our workshops, online and in person. Inevitably It brings all that I love together, teaching tech and my love affair with Wellness and feeling great in your human skin.

How we built it

Open AI helped with create a PRD, as wanted more than a template Site. Wanted it to tell a story. Created with tons of YouTube UX UI research. Built with YT links, gamma ai for my talks (so people get a feel for my work) Also added cool tools for beginners like GPT Prompt framework & Henrik Kniberg’s GenAI Visual storytelling.

Challenges we ran into

I created a cool Video using Sora from OpenAI and dubbed it with an Eleven labs voice over, but when I asked Bolt to add it in, it re wrote all my code and my heart dropped :(

Luckily, I had deployed it to Netlify, BUT then could no longer make changes. (Lost my Bolt badge and couldn’t upload my eleven labs voice dub which I was proud of)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The story it tells. I feel it represents me and that’s important. Also, after all my letters on Linkedin & Substack, I know have a site for people to get hold of me on.

What we learned

I love this time of tech, but I respect developers so much, as its one thing for an AI to create code and abstract the complexity, and quite another for the human, to know think, what experience you want to give your user. Its beautiful and utterly exhausting t the same time.
