We built a basic earthquake alarm system using simple, low-cost materials and electronics:

We used a buzzer as the alarm to alert people when shaking is detected.

The sensor part is made with an iron nail and wire setup attached to cardboard—this acts as a simple vibration detector.

When the system senses shaking or vibration (like during an earthquake), it completes an electric circuit that powers the buzzer, making a loud noise.

The whole system is powered by a battery, making it portable and easy to install anywhere.

This simple design helps detect strong vibrations quickly and gives an immediate alert to people nearby.

Our focus was on making an affordable, easy-to-build device that can warn people during an earthquake.
