I have always been very passionate about finding ways to tackle climate change and over the years I have realized that minimizing the use of Single Use Plastics is one of the best solutions to fight climate change.

What it does

Earthizens is a website I have build over two days to provide resources reasoning why and how we can reduce the use of single use plastic. It is an advocacy website for all age groups because the resources include infographics which can be easily comprehended by everyone.

How we built it

I build it using atom. I got additional help from w3school and to fully credit it SOW Coders Community as it is from them that I have learned the basics of HTML and CSS - the language I have incorporated in my website.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into a lot of errors trying to get the navigation bar in place, trying to get the slider in place and linking the infographics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really glad I could make a fully functioning website in less than 48 hours and could do most of teh coding myself.

What we learned

I learned that coding is what I want to pursue as a career. I also learned that with commitment even a hard task like coding is possible in so little time. Time management is another skill I think I mastered.

What's next for Earthizens

I look forward to establish this organization in a month or two and transform all my plans into reality.
