Our inspiration for this project stemmed from the need for a more affordable and efficient cost estimator in civil engineering. Traditional methods often involve time-consuming processes and may lack the precision needed for accurate cost predictions. We aimed to leverage modern features, including AI, to enhance the accuracy and accessibility of cost estimation tools.
What we learned
Throughout the project, we delved into the intricacies of soil data analysis, and excavation cost estimation. The integration of AI for improved accuracy in estimating costs provided a valuable learning experience. Project Development
The project involved the development of a comprehensive tool named "Earth 2 Build." We implemented features such as loading soil data from CSV files, limiting data based on user-defined elevation criteria, and estimating excavation costs. The integration of AI-driven features allowed us to create a more advanced and efficient cost estimator.
