Inspiration
We were inspired by the whimsy of monkeys and the beauty of the world. We wanted to tell a story highlighting the emotions that come with trying new things and expanding your world.
What it does
Engages readers through various texture, colors, and environments.
How I built it
We used various materials such as wood, card stock, fabric, foam, turf, cotton, string, rhinestones, cardboard, and other forms of physical media. We also modeled the cover using the software, Rhino, and laser cutting it out. We collaborated by leveraging our unique strengths and finding different materials to convey our story.
Challenges I ran into
We struggled with finding the materials we planned on using, however we dealt with this by improvising and taking different approaches to the elements of the book. We also had to set timely and realistic goals for making deliverables, so we decided to prioritize the most important parts.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We're proud of our teamwork, time-management, and willingness to be cooperative and flexible, given the time-constraints.
What I learned
We learned how to adapt and be more resourceful when things didn't go as planned or when we couldn't source certain materials I planned to use.
What's next for Earth Treasure
