Inspiration

Pollution is one of the biggest issues in our world today, and one that guarantees that future generations to come may not even have a future. Inspired by a mix of Wall-E and an indie game called One Chance, we wanted to create a fun game with a little plot twist: one that would show the repercussions we may have to deal with if people continue to do harmful things to our ecosystems.

What it does

It is a combination between a platformer game and a visual novel. It begins with a home screen, then leads to an unfinished tutorial, and then ends with a visual novel as the player realizes the true nature of our alien protagonist.

How we built it

Out of the three of us, two of us were drawing everything on our iPads. The programmer used unity and c# to make the game.

Challenges we ran into

Character design and shading, as well as how we were going to draw different cut scenes. As for programming, it was probably the fact that I was unable to complete making the tutorial (time constraints) as well as issues with parallax and dialogue script,

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing every cut scene drawing, getting a parallax and dialogue system.

What we learned

How to program a visual novel with speaking scripts, how to draw in ten hours, how to survive off of three monsters and a bag of Tate's cookies for 24 hours straight

What's next for Earth

Hopefully we can finish at least 5 levels, and then make a website linking to the game about pollution
