My Inspiration = TeamTrees.org + awareness is the key

We all know that awareness is the key, and that is why the youth have been so successful in promoting green initiatives through social media campaigns like TeamTrees.org, led by popular influencers like Mr. Beast and Mark Rober

But it all starts with our own families. As we travel and bring back gifts for our loved ones, let's also carry a green message to inspire them to take action toward a sustainable future. Imagine the impact we could have if we all shared our passion for the environment with our friends and family.

What it does

Imagine an app that not only detects the text or image of a landmark but also generates a message to raise awareness about the environment! That's exactly what our project does.

With our app, you can simply take a photo of a landmark or any text related to the environment, and our technology will automatically generate a message to raise awareness about the Earth. You can then share this message with anyone you like, spreading the word about environmental issues and encouraging others to take action.

By harnessing the power of technology, we are making it easier than ever for people to get involved in the fight to save our planet. Whether you're a traveler looking to share a green message with friends and family, or an environmentalist seeking to raise awareness on a larger scale, our app is the perfect tool to help you achieve your goals.

How I built it

We have built our app using React, Node Express, and Google Vision API to detect text and images related to the environment. To generate a message, we use OpenAI's state-of-the-art Text-Davinci-003 model, which allows us to produce high-quality content with natural language processing.

We take things a step further by making it easy to share these messages with others. Our app incorporates Sendgrid's email service to enable users to send these messages to anyone, anywhere in the world, with just a few clicks.

With our advanced technology and user-friendly interface, we are committed to promoting environmental awareness and encouraging people to take meaningful steps toward a sustainable future.

Challenges we ran into

I faced technical issues with the Google Vision API, which required us to optimize our code to prevent the app from crashing or producing errors. I had to use error-handling techniques and debug the code to ensure that the app functions smoothly and efficiently.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments I have achieved with this project. One of my biggest accomplishments is successfully integrating multiple technologies to create a cohesive and user-friendly app that effectively raises awareness about environmental issues. This required extensive research, collaboration, and fine-tuning of each component to ensure that they worked seamlessly together.

I am also proud of the high-quality content generated by my app using the Text-Davinci-003 model. By experimenting with different inputs and outputs, I was able to create messages that are both informative and engaging, conveying important environmental messages in a natural-sounding way.

Another accomplishment I am proud of is my successful implementation of the Google Vision API, which allows me to detect text and images related to the environment. By leveraging this technology, I have created a powerful tool for environmental activists and enthusiasts alike.
