This leads to situations where they may have empty rooms or unused cars sitting around. The supplier loses money because they still have to pay their fixed costs. In order to artificially increase demand, some suppliers have deals where they offer this extra capacity at a fixed lower price, a price where the supplier is not losing money, but where the margin is gone. This can be an opportunity for customers, because they can get these last-minute deals to get really good services at a big discount. But waiting until the last minute to book is a risk that customers are not prepared to take. They don't want to end up with no room to stay. As a platform, Check24 has much more insight into the likelihood of such last-minute deals and can offer suppliers a fixed price for their remaining unused services.

What we're presenting now is Earlybird. A platform that allows you to get in on potential last-minute deals before they happen. It takes the risk out of waiting for the last minute and potentially missing out on a deal.

It can offer this through the deeper insight into supply and demand data that check24 has access to. If partner companies have more space available than usual for a given area and filter specified by a user, and our service estimates that the remaining capacity is unlikely to be sold out, it will offer a special deal.

This deal shows the fixed price that Check24 has agreed with these hotels for the remaining capacity plus a buffer. This extra buffer is then used to pay for cases where other customers have bought the special offer, but all the capacity is still booked out in the end. Depending on how many suppliers still have capacity available, the offer can come in several flavours. It could be a mystery package, a random selection or a guaranteed hotel.

This is a win-win situation for both parties. The customer gets an easy, cheaper and risk-free booking. The supplier has a guaranteed way to sell their remaining capacity.
