Inspiration

The inspiration came from the desire to blend timeless stories with future technology, to preserve the emotional warmth of ancient Indian stories and festivals while using the immersive power of Unreal Engine and Meta Quest 3. Ealtic became my way to let people feel serenity, devotion, and presence through digital light.

What it does

Ealtic is a mixed reality app that lets people experience and learn the wisdom, stories, and traditions behind ancient Indian culture in an interactive and immersive way. Step into timeless stories, celebrate vibrant festivals, and experience the wisdom of tradition in a whole new way. Using hand tracking, you interact directly with characters, sacred objects, and festive rituals,right in your own space. In Ealtic, users enter a celestial battlefield, a story drawn from the Ramayana. The air is thick with energy. Lord Rama stands bound by magical snakes, captured by Meghnad, the powerful son of Ravana. As darkness surrounds Rama, the voice of the divine narrator whispers. Suddenly, the faint cry of Garuda, the mighty eagle, echoes through the sky. The user’s mission begins, to help Garuda free Lord Rama from the snake bindings of darkness. ElevenLabs voices deliver dialogue dynamically, Garuda’s courageous tone.

How we built it

Unreal Engine 5.5 (Blueprints + Meta SDK) Hand Tracking ElevenLabs Voiceovers: Garuda: Heroic, slightly reverb-ed male tone.

Challenges we ran into

Frame Stability: Balanced visuals and shaders to maintain 72+ FPS. Narrative Flow: Timing voice lines with gesture-based triggers demanded precise sequencing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Blended Ramayana storytelling with Mixed Reality, letting users help Garuda free Lord Rama using hand gestures. Used ElevenLabs voice to create living, emotional character. Added interactive fireworks for festival celebrations. Maintained 72+ FPS on Meta Quest 3 with real-time lighting and spatial audio. Released on the Meta Quest Store (Early Access), bringing Indian culture to global MR audiences.

What we learned

Storytelling in MR is about presence, not just visuals, when users light fireworks or free Rama, they feel part of the ancient india. Voice and color can guide emotion better than text, ElevenLabs tones and warm hues created calm and reverence. Cultural heritage can live beautifully in the language of future technology.
