Inspiration

Electoral periods in Senegal and West Africa are often marked by tensions that weaken our democracies. These critical moments frequently lead to protests, accusations of fraud, and disputes over results, sometimes accompanied by violence and even loss of life. These issues are exacerbated by:

A lack of transparency in the electoral process.

The manipulation or loss of data during the transfer of results from polling stations to central tallying centers.

Electoral fraud, such as multiple voting or the inclusion of fictitious votes.

These recurring problems prompted us to think of a sustainable and technological solution.

We believe that introducing a system based on digital identity and biometrics could turn these challenges into opportunities for transparent and secure elections.

What it does

Our solution proposes an innovative hybrid system that modernizes and secures the electoral process:

Dual authentication for voter verification:

  • Step 1: Initial verification using a digital ID (CIN).
  • Step 2: Biometric validation via fingerprint or facial recognition.

Secure digital voting:

  • Voters select their choice on an intuitive and secure machine, which encrypts and records their vote.

Immediate and transparent results:

  • Votes are synchronized and tallied automatically in real-time.

This system ensures the integrity of votes, eliminates manipulations, and reduces delays, thereby reinforcing political and social stability.
