Inspiration

E.V.E: Every Voice Echoes was born from my lifelong fascination with stories—and personal experiences—about choice, consequence, and the hidden cost of progress. I wanted to explore the emotional side of science fiction, not just the spectacle of technology, but the deeply human struggle of growing up, letting go, and confronting destiny.

The idea began more than ten years ago, scribbled into a notepad on commutes to and from work, carried quietly as a dream I never thought I'd actually pursue and build. As a solo creator, I reached a point where I felt stuck and eventually placed the project on the shelf, unsure how to bring its scale to life - essentially putting that dream to rest (or at least something happened to allow me to dust off the book and get back at it)

With the emergence of AI and tools like ChatGPT, I finally gained the creative support I had always needed. They helped transform scattered concepts into a cohesive narrative and helped me overcome the barriers that once stopped me. Now fully committed to my path as a creator, I can share the epic vision I’ve held for years—a story rooted in heart, adventure, and characters whose choices shape the fate of their world.

What it does

E.V.E: Every Voice Echoes offers viewers an immersive sci-fi adventure that encourages reflection on how every choice we make creates ripples—impacting not only our own lives but the world around us. Inspired by recent creative works produced by small teams or solo artists using emerging technologies, this series aims to empower others to embrace new tools like AI to bring their own stories to life.

Through its compelling characters and layered narrative, the project invites audiences to explore themes of responsibility, sacrifice, and redemption—prompting thoughtful consideration of our actions toward ourselves, each other, and the planet. More than just entertainment, it’s an invitation to empathy and self-awareness.

How I built it

This project was developed using a range of generative AI tools that helped organize and shape the story, craft dialogue, create storyboard images, and design character concepts. I used AI-driven scratch track voice generation and various video generators to build the visual world. All these AI outputs were combined through video editing and visual effects to create a unified episodic vision.

Alongside leveraging these tools, I invested many hours in tutorials and webinars to refine my AI prompting and content creation skills, allowing me to push the boundaries of solo storytelling.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was managing scale—condensing a large, cinematic world into a concise yet powerful short entry while still honouring character development and emotional depth. After experimenting with trailers from different characters’ perspectives, it became clear that producing a full episode would require significantly more time and resources. Bringing the vision to life on screen revealed challenges in translating the story exactly as imagined, highlighting the complexity of balancing narrative scope with practical constraints. Having all of that appear on the timeline really brought a reality to the amount of work that is still required (at least in my experience generating Sci-Fi content).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of what I’ve accomplished as a solo producer. The reality is that producing something like this usually requires a Hollywood production team or skilled filmmakers and 3D artists. There are currently over 300 audio SFX and 60 clips compiled for a 2.5-minute edit. Thousands of prompt generations have been refined to help realize “The Vision.”

Using tools like Photoshop to further manipulate AI-generated images allowed me to tailor and force specific results. Countless hours of tutorials and webinars helped onboard the skills I needed—pushing the story forward with each iteration and piece of content, gradually bringing the world and narrative to life.

A few moments of imposter syndrome and throwing in the towel, but I have a single supporter who helped push me to keep at it and I'm so thankful I did. I want to see this through for her!

What I learned

Not only can AI be leveraged for personal projects, but light bulbs are starting to go off on how to apply it professionally—as a freelance content creator. Having experience with Blender and architecture projects, I know rendering animations can be a huge bottleneck. By integrating AI-generated images into 3D mock ups, I was able to produce quality ads with a fraction of the usual time and this excites me to offer affordable alternatives and attract/secure more clients.

At the same time, I’ve learned to remain humble—seeing other AI work and assuming it’s “just a click away” isn’t true. There is still significant human skill and intervention required, and that’s where creators like me can thrive in this new age. I'm slowly being connected to the AI community and do hope to foster or find a group that can communicate on the regular to super charge each others skills and passions in this new age.

What's next for E.V.E: Every Voice Echoes

Next, I plan to complete a fully produced pilot episode using AI-generated assets, while refining storyboards for upcoming episodes with accompanying visual explanations. I’ll also focus on developing the world’s visual identity—using tools like Blender to create alien landscapes—and finalize the arc for season 1, with two additional seasons outlined depending on its success.

I envision E.V.E growing into a rich IP with multiple storytelling avenues, inspired by works like The Animatrix, where other creators can explore side stories set in the world of Celestia—giving voice to unseen characters and expanding the universe.

Ultimately, I hope to collaborate with artists and studios who share a passion for emotionally grounded science fiction. Winning or placing in the Chroma Awards would be a major step toward evolving this story into its fullest form—one that resonates far beyond its initial iteration.
