Inspiration
In developing countries, like India, basic healthcare is still not available to many rural people due to lack of connectivity of the Internet. Due to geographical and financial barriers, many rural populations are deprived of medical facilities. Doctors are not easily available in these rural parts.
What it does
In order to solve this, we have created a platform through which user needs to send a message to a unique Tollfree no. that will assist them with nearby Hospital, provide Ambulance and much more.
How we built it
We used Twilio SMS APIs to send and receive SMS from both the end. Google Maps API to check the distance between the user and nearby Hospitals, time to reach Ambulance.
Challenges we ran into
Inbound message to be send to the user was one of the challenge we faced during the Hackathon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to provide Internet free sol. to rural areas within given time frame.
What's next for E-swaasth | Team 18
We are willing to share this innovative idea to the government so that it can be used by the rural people and provide more automation to all the process.
