E- Outpatient care are for patients already diagnosed and managed for diabetics in other for them to have access to their health care providers and prevent further complications in their health

Inspiration

According to the Endocrine and Metabolism Society of Nigeria, Diabetics kills more people in Nigeria than COVID-19, HIV/AIDS and cancer combined. We were inspired to create the E-outpatient care app as a result of the increase in diabetics complications due to the long waiting periods in accessing their health care providers

What it does

It allows outpatients communicate with their healthcare providers online, before their next appointment date which could be a waiting period of 2 to 4 months. By filling their data, medications, complaints..., the outpatient can have a one on one communication with their healthcare providers, thereby breaching the gap between them and preventing further complications.

How I built it

Collected data from our target audience and formed a database on our SharePoint and automated the process via Microsoft forms to our SharePoint and power apps. From power bi we got data from our SharePoint online list, then transformed the data and visualised it using powerbi

Challenges I ran into...

compilation of data, flagging of accounts, working on a default environment in building the powerapp instead of team environment, putting out ideas into practice

The fact that we were able to do this together as a team.

What I learned

We learnt to work together as a team, We learnt to connect our data from Microsoft form to powerapps, How to contribute to our society using power apps.

What's next for E- Outpatient care

We believe that E- Outpatient care is possible in Nigeria, though it will take a gradual process in implementation. It is an effective way of bringing Outpatients closer to their health care providers
