Inspiration

We wanted to address misinformation surrounding COVID-19. We hope that (e)Lucid will be a website that can provide accessible and reliable information so the public can find clarity on what measures should be taken and what is and is not true.

What it does

We provide a simple interface for users to easily navigate between pages which address a variety of issues. Firstly, we included a page with reliable and unreliable sources, as well as articles to draw awareness to the prevalence and severity of misinformation currently.

How we built it

We used HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for this website.

What I learned

We learned a lot about COVID-19 and misinformation while researching, as well as how to make a clean user interface. For a few members of the group, this was the first hackathon, so this experience helped us learn what to expect.

What's next for (e)Lucid

We are hoping to implement a map with COVID-19 testing centers and possibly an FAQ center so that users can get their questions answered. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to implement all the interactive features we were hoping to, but we are hoping to get there next!
