Inspiration:
my father died because the blood bank didn't had his blood group available and we had no blood donor available
What it does:
E-LIFE SAVER helps patient and their care takers to easily find blood donors.
How we built it:
The application is built using php, MySQL as database. Html & CSS and JavaScript for front end.
Challenges we ran into:
We face the problem at the level where most users have internet connection issues!
Accomplishment:
Donors finds it encouraging to be notified and thanked for saving a life.
Patients find it easy and have hope to have a donor
What we learned:
We learned that, donating blood saves a lot than we could imagine.
What next:
Our vision is that, E-LIFE SAVER should be use by national blood transfusion service. Therefore, we will be working on update where each blood bank in the system will be link to one central database. With this, it will be easy to search through the database, analyze and make statistical conclusion through the blood transfusion services.
