Inspiration
Accessing healthcare services can be difficult for many people, especially when patients need quick communication with doctors, pharmacies, or hospitals. In many cases, patients must travel long distances or wait a long time just to receive simple medical assistance or advice.
This project was inspired by the need to create a digital healthcare platform that connects patients, doctors, pharmacies, and hospitals in one unified system. The goal is to make healthcare services faster, easier, and more accessible through modern technology.
The platform aims to support Rwanda’s digital transformation in healthcare by providing a system where users can request services, communicate with healthcare providers, and manage medical information in a secure and efficient way.

How we built it
The system was designed as a modern web platform with a frontend and backend architecture.
The frontend provides an interactive interface where users can access services, communicate with healthcare providers, and manage their information.
The backend handles system logic, authentication, API communication, and database management.
Some key components of the project include:
A user interface for patients and healthcare providers
A secure backend API for handling requests and data
Database integration for storing user and healthcare information
AI integration for intelligent assistance
Caching mechanisms to improve system performance
The system is designed to be scalable so it can support more users and services in the future.

While building this project, I gained practical experience in several important areas of software development:
Designing a full-stack web application architecture

Implementing secure authentication and user management
Using databases to manage healthcare data
Working with APIs and cloud-based services
Improving performance using caching technologies
This project also helped improve my skills in problem solving, system design, and integrating multiple technologies into one working system.
