Inspiration
Nowadays, people can go to the hospital in the slightest problem. This puts a serious burden on hospitals. With the coronavirus, the density increased more and the efficiency of the doctors decreased. In addition, people sometimes have to travel miles to meet with specialist doctors. This creates disadvantages both in terms of time and economy. As the QataSoft team, we decided to take a hand on this problem. And for this, we had long discussions on an application where we could bring patients and experts together. We were able to design a good system in the near future and started to develop this system. We named the e-Doctor on behalf of our application.
Short of the completion of our application, we saw Hackathon's competition about COVID 19 and we got a thought that we could use our project for lack of experts due to coronavirus. We have seen that volunteer doctors from around the world can help people solve their problems. In this way, doctors who have sufficient competence for coronavirus and similar diseases will help the patient to solve the problem by voluntarily communicating with patients from different parts of the world. As a result, we are here and we are determined to find a solution to the lack of specialists and coronavirus worldwide.
The Problem Our Project Solves
Thanks to the project, it aims to reduce the hospital density from Coronavirus. People will be able to ask health-related questions by contacting doctors online. In addition, for patients with insufficient financial status, it will be an application where they can contact doctors and benefit from health services. We know that there are similar projects to our project, but we mention some different points.
The solution We Bring To The Table
By developing a system that can work online in Android, IOS and Web environment, bringing together doctors and patients in need and preparing a completely free environment for them.
The Solution’s Impact To The Crisis
For now, our project will reduce the lack of doctors in many countries (Italy, Spain, etc.) that are lacking in the doctor department, the diagnosis of COVID-19, the care of chronic patients or the care of pregnant women.
And it is also clear that anxious people who are not sick or have no symptoms put a great burden on hospitals and put themselves in great danger. Thanks to the online video calling feature of our project, such problems will be eliminated.
What It Does
Our application consists of two main sections as Patient and Doctor. These two parts have a harmonious relationship with each other.
As a patient;

How We Built It
First, we evaluated what can be done for the project. We thought of developing a system that could be useful for the entire health system. We turned our ideas into simple drawings via Draw.io . After long discussions, we turned ideas into designs through Adobe XD. We started working on WebRTC technology to start the first study. To develop a sample project, we started developing the application that will work on Android platforms with Android Studio. We develop our application using Android Studio with Kotlin language. We use MVVM architectural design and Firebase as a database.

It will be ensured that doctors who voluntarily subscribe to our project will be able to remedy physician deficiencies around the world and ease the burden.
What We Have Done During The Weekend
By organizing the project we have been working on before, taking the idea of many mentors. We evaluated different ways of financing and strategy and worked on how we can offer this project for free via Hackathon.
We prepared a 2-minute video and business model to present it well in the Devpost environment. We tried to prepare a presentation article that could contain the answers to all questions so that people did not have a question in mind, and we reconfigured our Team.
Challenges We Ran Into
We have deficiencies in delivering the application to hospitals and making it available to people. We need more support in the marketing and finance departments. In addition, any support to promote the application and make it available to hospitals will help us.
Solutions We Developed For The Troubles We Encounter
We are trying to contact some NGOs for volunteer doctors. We also try to meet with trainees and retired doctors. By including them in the system, we can expand the project.
We try to contact various people to solve the language problem. Therefore, our search for an interpreter continues. We are working to make a series of contacts for local associations, global charities, foundations and EU funds for financial deficiencies. We started to communicate with local volunteers in publicity and market.
Financial Support
Financial support that will be required for the system to operate will be provided from worldwide aid funds (EIT, NGOs, Government Funds). In addition, the project can be developed in order to provide a better service to people by getting help from related funds in crises around the world or country.

The Necessities In Order To Continue The Project
A good funding system and enough volunteer doctors are required for the project to continue. Foundations that can receive financial support worldwide on behalf of financial support, Melinda Gates, European Union Funds, EIT etc. It shaped. At the same time, financial support can be obtained from the foundations of that country for crises that may arise throughout the country.
The Value Of Our Solutions After The Crisis
We will carry out a series of works to continue the project after the crisis. Nowadays, African countries and some Asian countries are experiencing access difficulties due to poverty. For this, we will contact many different organizations and try to help people.
We will ensure that many doctors who work in their own country or who have to work in different countries can serve their country (350,000 doctors from Nigeria who work outside their home country).
As a solution, volunteer doctors can help such people who need help.
What's Next For e-Doctor
- To develop the necessary voice assistant support for patients and doctors.
- To develop an artificial intelligence assistant that will assist in the detection of diseases for doctors. With artificial intelligence, the effects of Pandemic and epidemic diseases on patients are calculated. According to the illnesses experienced by users, the problems that can be experienced in epidemic diseases are determined.
- To be able to develop applications that can be used by hospitals, clinics and doctors all over the world, especially in Europe. In this way, to create a platform that offers innovative solutions for all people in the world to meet with doctors.
Business Plan
Key Partners Our key partners in this project are doctors. All doctors, including volunteer doctors, retired and intern doctors, are our key partners in this project. We request certain parts of their time from our partners. Our main resource in this project is the time of doctors. Our partners use a certain part of their time to treat different patients. Our partners are mainly volunteers. But we need to use different resources to access more doctors (eg government funds, foundations and some non-governmental organizations). Also local organizations
Key Activities Our key activities are to help patients solve their health problems free of charge. We use mobile phones and the internet as a distribution channel. We try to help patients get health care. Our income stream is the use of funds from different foundations and charities: The problem we solve is to try to help patients get health care. Our distribution network covers the whole world. The application is designed to be used all over the world.
Value Propositions We attach great importance to our patients. In the application we developed, we value our patients thanks to features such as rating doctor quality and giving feedback. Customer Segments Our clients are patients and doctors in general. We help doctors communicate with patients by using their time efficiently. We care both our doctors and our patients. In this way, we try to provide a good service for both parties. We are developing the application for doctors and patients from all over the world to communicate with each other.
Key Resources Our key sources are doctors and patients. In order for the system to work efficiently, both user groups are required. We try to use different supports to reach and implement these two audiences. Like local associations and foundations.
Channels We try to reach users through mobile applications. Today, almost everyone has a mobile phone. In this way, we have the opportunity to reach users all over the world. Just download the app and sign up.
Cost Infrastructure Our most important costs are the costs of the servers and our promotional costs. It also creates a cost to reach doctors. In order for the project to be sustainable, we should be able to attract doctors and patients to practice. Otherwise, the application will not work efficiently. We want to work with different funding systems to cover server costs. We also plan to access local non-governmental organizations for promotion and access to users.
Revenue Streams In fact, we try to cover our revenue streams from charities and charity funds. Because we try to deliver this project to people free of charge. For this, we plan to apply for supports for sufficient financial infrastructure.
