Inspiration

We wanted to build a complete e-commerce platform that provides a smooth shopping experience for customers while giving sellers an easy way to manage their products. The goal was to understand how real-world online marketplaces work and apply our Laravel development skills to solve practical problems.

What it does

Our platform allows users to register as buyers or sellers. Sellers can add, update, and delete products, upload product images, and manage inventory. Buyers can browse products, view product details, add items to the shopping cart, place orders, and track their purchases.

The system also includes an admin panel for managing users, products, sellers, and orders.

How we built it

The application was developed using Laravel 12 following the MVC architecture. MySQL was used for the database, Blade Templates for the frontend, Bootstrap for responsive UI, and JavaScript for interactive features.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was implementing inventory management correctly. We ensured that product stock is automatically reduced after successful orders while preventing customers from purchasing unavailable items.

We also solved issues related to authentication, image uploads, database relationships, and order management.
