Inspiration
The theme for the project was from harry potter movies so, I don't think I have to elaborate more for this...
What it does
The project have a bidding and winning system, categories filter, watchlist, comments, authentications system and a form for users to list their product.
How I built it
I used django which makes it easier to write backend and the superuser option for easily handling data.
Challenges I ran into
The challenging phase was for the active listing page, I struggled a lot with the primary key to open the specific product page.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am really proud of the frontend part as it is a good companion for other harry potter stores online and I was able to make it without JS.
What I learned
I learned a lot about the backend with django and it's documentation on classes, forms, superuser stuff and improved my CSS a lot.
What's next for E-Auctions
Next I'll be using JS for making things more interesting and responsive like instead of switching pages I'll be changing the JS of the same page and hovering over boxes etc.
