This was the 3D project for our Videogames Subject at UPC. The objective was to build something similar to Wipeout or FZero, and as a fan of this master piece that is FZero, we decided to make DZero.

What it does

It's a game made with Unity. Choose your ship and tracks from the selection and win the race by getting first to the finish line or die trying. Use different powerups to your advantage and defeat your enemies in the race!

How I built it

We built it using Unity and C# as you can see in our Github. We also made most of our models ourselves with Blender and Photoshop.

Challenges I ran into

Too many to number. Physics problems, AI problems, Texture problems... it's the first "serious" project we made in Unity but I think it's pretty rad.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The game is awesome, really, so I'm proud of everything we did. Hope we get a 10 on this assignment. Even if we don't, I think this was a big step as a game developer for me, learned so many things.

What I learned

Basically learned Unity all over again since I'd already pretty much forgotten about it. Learned about physics and developing AIs for my future games, among other things.

What's next for DZero

Linux release is coming when I find how to enable the option in the editor.



Simply extract and hit the exe, choose a resolution and play.
