Inspiration
To help people with dyslexia have easier access to the contents of the web, specifically text on articles.
What it does
This project is a Chrome web app that makes reading easier for people with dyslexia by making the font, text size, text spacing and highlighting on all readable text on a page to match dyslexic friendly guidelines set by the British Dyslexia Association.
How we built it
Languages: HTML, CSS & Javascript
Challenges we ran into
A challenge we've overcome is working under time constraints to effectively manage our project's progress.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
An accomplishment we're proud of is brainstorming a project that is applicable to a real-life issue and creating a solution in the form of a project that can help solve this issue or atleast make it easier for those that have dyslexia.
What we learned
An important skill we've learned is how to work in a team and under time constraints or other factors that may affect our time to dedicate to the project.
What's next for DyslexSee
An additional future feature is adding a ruler feature to further help the reader focus on the selected text.
