How we built it

Frontend: Built using React.js for a dynamic and responsive user interface, and Tailwind CSS for advanced styling. Backend: Developed with Node.js and Express.js to handle server-side logic and API requests. Database: Utilized MongoDB to store user data, progress tracking, and personalized learning plans. Deployment: Hosted on Netlify (frontend) and Heroku (backend) for seamless and scalable deployment.

Challenges we ran into

Understanding Dyscalculia: Gaining a deep understanding of dyscalculia and the specific educational needs of individuals with this learning difficulty was essential and challenging. We conducted extensive research and consultations with experts to ensure our solution was effective and appropriate. Maintaining Engagement: Keeping students engaged with interactive exercises while ensuring educational value was a delicate balance. We had to design activities that were both fun and educationally effective. Ensuring Accessibility: Making the platform accessible on all devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones, required careful design and testing. We aimed to provide a seamless experience across different screen sizes and operating systems. Data Privacy and Security: Protecting user data was a top priority. Implementing robust security measures to safeguard personal and progress data while ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations was a significant challenge. Ad-Free Environment: Maintaining an ad-free platform to provide a distraction-free learning experience required alternative funding strategies.
