Inspiration

We believe that more and more entrepreneurs are serving others with their expert knowledge and the unique gifts through live and online events. DynamicSync is designed to help these brave entrepreneurs, who are going out in the world to make a difference, by providing them with technology that will make it easier for them to run their events.

As an Infusionsoft Certified Partner, I was working with a lot of clients who use events such as workshops, seminars, retreats, training courses and also webinars as their main source of income or as a marketing tool.

I found that I often had to duplicate Infusionsoft campaigns and update emails with the correct event information for each recurring event. Even worse, after Infusionsoft had been updated I also had to go and update the website to display upcoming event dates. This process was time consuming and required event organisers to continually engage the services of Infusionsoft and website experts.

As an experienced web programmer, I decided to develop DynamicSync to solve these problems and save my clients hours for time and thousands of dollars and allow them to reach more people with their knowledge and gifts.

How it works

DynamicSync Web App

DynamicSync is a web application where users schedule their events and enter event details such as dates, times, venue informations, pricing, contact persons etc.

DynamicSync WordPress Plugin

Once an event is confirmed in the DynamicSync app, our WordPress plugin will display event information on the users' website and landing pages and allow website visitors to register for the events.

When a person registers, the attendees contact record in Infusionsoft is updated with all the relevant event details and a register tag is applied. This then allows the user to create a generic Infusionsoft campaign that can be reused for recurring events.

DynamicSync Ticket Scanner Smartphone App

DynamicSync creates a unique ticket for each event attendee that can be sent to the person in an email.

Event organisers can then use our custom developed smartphone app to scan the event tickets and in doing so, record event attendance.

Once the event in complete, DynamicSync will automatically tag event attendees and event 'no-shows' in Infusionsoft to allow for accurate and timely follow up.

DynamicSync SMS

DynamicSync also provides Infusionsoft users with the ability to send SMS to any mobile number in the world. Timely SMS's have been proven to dramatically increase event attendance, especially online events.

Challenges we ran into

The greatest challenge for us was the billing and administration of an online service. Luckily we decided to use Infusionsoft as our sales and billing platform. This has allowed us to create campaigns to manage our subscribers, create new accounts, charge subscribers etc.

The second challenge was to find server infrastructure that would scale as we get more and more subscribers. We decided to use Amazon Web Services which now allows us to scale as quick and as far as we need.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud of the amount of people we have been able to serve in a short space of time. In our first year of having paid subscribers on DynamicSync, we have already processed more than 125 000 event attendees and almost 2000 events.

We are very encouraged and excited about serving millions of people in the near future.

What I learned

The most important lesson we have learnt is that nothing beats real world testing. We can come up with all sorts of ideas in the office, but we will only know if it is useful once a client starts using it.

We have added a very prominent feedback button to the application to encourage our clients to provide us with feedback and ideas and we are proud to say that our development is now largely steered by customer feedback.

What's next for DynamicSync

We are working on exciting new features in the area of ticket and name tag printing as well as facilitating 'in-event' sales to make it super easy for event organisers to sell other products and programs at the event with minimum effort.

We see DynamicSync as a valuable companion to Infusionsoft and we are looking forward to maximise the great features of Infusionsoft, and to develop DynamicSync into the best event management app for Infusionsoft users.
