Inspiration

The inspiration for this idea is that personally, we have had experience of going to a new school and feeling lonely sometimes.

What it does

We know that people our age feel the same as us, so we developed a new way to find friends in your local school communities. This program that we built, focuses on the idea of helping students find that someone in their new communities with the same interests, to make their high school experience a little easier.

## How we built it

We took advantage of the time we were provided and brainstormed our idea to the fullest. First we decided that it would be best to make a mobile app. Secondly, we sketched the Wire frames on paper so we could have the idea of how we wanted the template to look and what different screen formats you would be taken to, depending on what you click. Afterwards we designed the website with Our Purpose and more information about the app itself.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into was the fact of how to make it into a safe program. We decided that the school would be the one that provided the code that we give to them as a "pass code." This will prevent people that are not students to be on the app and meet students and end up having a meeting go wrong.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The accomplishments that we are very proud of is that fact that our peer Aurea learned to code a website for the first time. Another thing that we are proud of is that we came up with the idea and the format in such record time. This is also our first time here in the Hackathon.

What we learned

What we learned today was that sometimes problems in society are not solved because it would be too complicated to come up with a solution that works perfectly.
