Some ocean documentary and my interest in sea life

What it does

It's a small platformer game in which the player explores an ocean littered with plastic. The core of the game is collecting and cleaning trash, saving wildlife, and learning more about how pollution affects our world.

How we built it

It was built in Unity, a game engine.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was the animation as it refused to work correctly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The drawings, decoration, and level making.

What we learned

The issue regarding pollution is more than what is shown in Dying Waters. Pollution is not just about cleaning the ocean and saving animals, it's about spreading awareness of a global crisis and showing ordinary people, like you, can make small contributions to a huge issue.

What's next for Dying Waters

Currently, the core gameplay of Dying Waters is only on its surface. We wish to include more add-ons to the game to demonstrate the whole picture of the problem caused by pollution.
