Inspiration

Have you ever forgotten how much you owe your friend or how much your friend owes you after that dinner together? We've got you covered. Use our service "DutchPay" to get email notifications about how much the bill is with your friends.

What it does

Automating the notification process to split the bills. Email you and your friend to notify them how much the bill is.

How we built it

We built this app using HTML/CSS, Django (Python), and SQLite. Hosted a project through PythonAnywhere. To collaborate, we used Github and Azure DevOps.

Challenges we ran into

It was the first time using Django for both of us. Also, it was the first time deploying the project. So, both processes took longer than anticipated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have accomplished full-stack development and successfully deployed the project.

What we learned

We learned how to build full-stack applications using the Django framework and how to deploy projects. Also, executed agile project management.

What's next for DutchPay

This project is done for now. If we decide, there can be a responsive design for mobile and tablet users, a user login system, add friends, and transfer money between friends features could be updated!
