Dunning-Kruger WebApp

Inspiration

Came across the Dunning-Kruger Effect from a video I watched, and saw a-lot of truth in it from my personal and social life. I decided that making a site out of it to teach others as well as getting their opinions. This turned out to be a really fun project.

What it does

It gives users a new piece of information that can serve as food for thought when they move on to creating or progressing on their careers.

How we built it

I used ReactJS to create the site, and also used many other libraries such as: React Spring, AOS, and ChartJS. I used Firebase for the database.

Challenges I ran into

Fetching data from Firebase proved to be an issue. Also working on tweaking the CSS to make the site somewhat responsive and very time consuming.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Getting able to connect the databases, and fetching that data onto my graphs was a huge relief for me, and I was happy with how it looked.

What I learned

I learned a lot about React-Spring, and how much of a powerful tool it is.

What's next for the Dunning-Kruger WebApp

I plan to add a chat system so that users can share they're thoughts on the Dunning Kruger Effect
