Inspiration
Our main inspiration is from simple RPG games. We believe that simple video games can help younger audiences learn a lot about different realistic topics.
What it does
It is a game aimed at middle and high school students to teach them about basic financial literacy.
How we built it
We built it in Godot, with the main language being Gdscript.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge we faced was technical difficulties within the Godot environment, making us unable to finish the original plan on time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were mostly proud of achieving good-level designs and having partial functionality for the NPCs.
What we learned
We've learned a lot of things throughout this project. Time management is a big factor that we all have to deal with. Effective communication is another important thing that we learned.
What's next for Dungeons & Dividends: Financial Strategy for Adventurers
There are a lot of things we could do to improve our project. First and foremost, we want to gain a deeper understanding of the Godot environment. From there, we aim to finish up the basic game. Furthermore, we hope to expand the game further by including a lot more different financial literacy concepts, game mechanics, and more.
