Inspiration

I needed to stay organized at work, but due to the nature of my "real job" I cant upload my work tasks to a server. I needed something local and secure.

What it does

Simple, offline first todo list that auto prioritizes tasks without the use of AI. DunCrux tasks different keywords that you define either using the @ symbol or the # symbol. Overtime DunCrux learns what is important to you and ranks your tasks by importance. We call this importance, "Elevation". The higher the elevation score the more important a task is and it bubbles towards the top.

Despite being offline first, there is an optional synch mode if you want to synch to multiple devices you can choose to synch to the cloud. If using synch you can also share tasks with friends and family. Great for keeping family chores aware for everyone in the house.

How we built it

Built on fluter so you can use it locally on your Android, iOS, Mac (Coming Soon), or PC (Coming Soon). Additionally there is web access as well if you want to pay for synch. If you choose to use synch we use firebase.

Challenges we ran into

Making a good model for our ranking system and being able to make it transparent and easy to understand for the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Privacy 1st todo list. No AI, but we are able to prioritize your tasks and learn what's important to you.

What we learned

We can build apps much fast now since last ShipATon that I entered. I really learned a lot from the ShipATon Community on how to use AI for the hard stuff like creating marketing images and videos that were very helpful in being able to get an app released even after joining the competition halfway through.

What's next for DunCrux

I got some great feedback already from users in smaller reddits. I am working on those features and continuing to talk with my initial users daily. I am now incorporating links to DunCRux in my other larger apps since I know ToDo lists is a crowded field and ASO is maybe not the best route here in the short term. I additionally will include it in posts on my outdoor adventure / photography blog to build up momentum and the user base.

Lastly need to release Windows Desktop app so that the todo list app can be used on any system.
