Inspiration
As middle school students, we have experience difficulties in managing our time and workload. We thought that having a calendar and a todo list really helped us in this and we wanted to share this experience with the rest of our peers. Managing tasks is not an easy feat, especially in our current day and age. Without task management, it's easy for people to get sidetracked or to become engrossed down in tasks that aren't that important. DuckDuckDo helps solve these issues by organizing tasks in a quick, easy to read, way.
What it does
On our website, you are able to add tasks, title them, a schedule them for a certain date. It has a strikethrough feature once you check off your task, and a calendar for you to visually see your schedule better. It can also delete your task once you are finished with it.
How we built it
We built this using CSS, CodePen, HTML, and JAVA script.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were getting the correct colors as well as having problems saving our code which led us to losing the entirety of it once. We had to also learn along the way of making the project as we are all new to coding in Java script.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of finishing this project and we are extremely proud of ourselves for learning so much along the way.
What we learned
We learned how to format a website as well has some coding in JAVA script and that HTML, CSS, and JAVA script work well together to form nuances projects like the website we developed.
What's next for DuckDuckDo!
After this project, we plan to improve our design and add more features to our calendar and our to-do list. We also hope to embed more productivity tools in the website to help students like us become masters in managing our time efficiently!
