๐ Inspiration
We wanted to break free from short, linear gameplay loops and create a living cyberpunk world where players could truly exist โ not just fight. Inspired by long-form interactive experiences like AWS PartyRock and narrative RPGs, we envisioned a game that blends AI-driven storytelling, player progression, and immersive world-building. The goal: to make players feel like citizens of a neon metropolis, not just visitors.
โ๏ธ What it does
Dual World Chronicles 2077 is a cyberpunk RPG powered by MeDoโs no-code AI platform. Players explore vast neon cities, level up through XP, own apartments and cars, and interact with dynamic NPCs offering quests and branching storylines. The game features:
- ๐ง AI-driven quest generation and dialogue adaptation
- ๐ Player-owned apartments and vehicles for customization
- ๐ Expansive world exploration with multiple districts and factions
- ๐ฎ A corrupted AI storyline that evolves based on player choices
- ๐ฌ Real-time NPC interactions and reputation systems
๐งฉ How we built it
We built the game using MeDoโs full-stack no-code environment, integrating:
- Frontend: MeDo UI builder for dynamic scenes and player HUDs
- Backend: MeDo logic flows for XP, quest tracking, and inventory systems
- AI Layer: MeDoโs conversational AI for adaptive NPC dialogue and quest generation
- Database: MeDoโs integrated data nodes for player stats, world states, and progression
- Visuals: Custom cyberpunk assets and procedural city generation
- Testing: Iterative playthroughs to balance pacing, quest difficulty, and narrative flow
๐ง Challenges we ran into
- Balancing story depth with performance in MeDoโs no-code environment
- Synchronizing AI dialogue with player progression and quest triggers
- Designing persistent world states that evolve across sessions
- Creating dynamic NPC behavior without overloading the logic engine
- Ensuring the game feels alive and reactive, not scripted
๐ Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built a fully playable cyberpunk RPG prototype with long-form gameplay
- Integrated AI-driven quest and dialogue systems seamlessly into MeDo
- Created a living city environment with player-owned spaces and vehicles
- Achieved hour-long gameplay loops with branching storylines and replayability
- Established a foundation for multiplayer and social hubs
๐ What we learned
- MeDoโs no-code platform can handle complex RPG logic with creative structuring
- AI-driven storytelling requires careful pacing and player feedback loops
- World-building thrives when systems interact dynamically โ economy, quests, and reputation
- Long-form gameplay needs modular design to maintain engagement and scalability
๐ Whatโs next for Dual World Chronicles 2077 built with MeDo
- ๐ Expand multiplayer hubs for cooperative missions and social interaction
- ๐๏ธ Add new districts, factions, and questlines to deepen world lore
- ๐ง Integrate advanced AI models for emotional NPC responses and adaptive story arcs
- ๐ก Enhance apartment customization and player economy systems
- ๐ฎ Launch a public beta with community-driven quest creation and feedback
