Brian was wondering where he could find opponents to fence in real life, since that requires meeting face to face. I was inspired by both tinder and reddit, I figured, hey, what if people could make their own categories to match on. If you're looking for a tap dancing partner, you can create a tap dancing category and others that have a tap dancing search desires will end up on your Dual meetup!
FAQ:
"Why not use tinder?"
Tinder is used to for specific... activities. Dual would allow users to treat it as Tinder in specific categories, but the idea is that the users themselves create their own matching communities like subreddits in reddit are user driven. If you are looking for Magic the Gathering opponents, you would be hard-pressed to look for people to play against on Tinder.
"Why not use reddit?"
The idea is that you would find people in close proximity to you for things that require a partner but cant be organized through long distance. Reddit tends to be communities of hobbies but they have no intention (or it is very inconvenient) to meet up on.
