Inspiration

More and more young folks are glued to their computers for long hours. This has led many to crave the companionship and entertainment of a pet, but without the time or budget to care for a real one.

What it does

A desktop pet that can manage your screen time

How we built it

We use Python's PyQt5 to build it

Challenges we ran into

we weren't sure how to make our pet talk to us periodically and spent a long time figuring out how to do so, and we eventually made our pet able to talk to us and remind us to rest regularly

What's next for DTPA

We will add more interactive actions and optimize the pet to make it smoother.
