• A project was set up to identify the possibilities for Condition Monitoring in rail drive system • Test rig with simulated real rail condition was used and 18 different bearing problems were introduced in gearbox and traction motor • Accelerometers where placed on the machine with signal going in to DS-xR • The end result was very positive, all 18 mechanical and bearing faults were identified, with the statement that Condition Monitoring with vibration sensors can be used to identify faults in an early stage independent of the heavy noise environment a rail vehicle is in.
Challenges we ran into in Turkey, it is not easy to get your payments on time. We sometimes have problems for getting our payments.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Bogazici university enterprise competition, we got the first place. TCDD (Turkish National Railway Association) implemented our hybrid solution and it has been successfully running for years. We are in charge with Amtrak of US and they are about to deploy our solution to us railways, first in Washington.
What we learned is pivoting in everything you matters. We pivoted a lot in terms of our business model with changing our sales model to SaaS, focusing on more of railways instead of ships and wind turbines etc.
What's next for DS-xR Railway Conditions Monitoring Software Platform we would like to open our business to international arena with having US, UK, Germany and Bahrain in our focus.
